TLA was founded in 1991 as an independent school in the Catholic tradition, but was officially designated as a Catholic School in 2020 by Vancouver’s Archbishop John Michael Miller, CSB. We are now an associate member of the Catholic Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese, joining the other five associate member schools of the CISVA. Our school is served by chaplains from Holy Family Parish, the Traditional Mass parish run by the Fraternity of St. Peter in Vancouver. School chaplains visit the school weekly to hear Confessions, offer Holy Mass in the Traditional Rite, provide Adoration and Benediction, carry out classroom visits, and join in other activities with our students.

Although TLA is a Catholic school, we welcome those of other religious traditions. We believe that our diverse community enriches the spiritual journey for everyone, creating a respectful environment where all are encouraged to explore questions of faith, truth and virtue, and to hear the Good News of the Gospel. Our commitment to nurturing each child’s spiritual development goes hand in hand with our dedication to preparing students to reach out to others in an increasingly interconnected world.
