TLA GRAD 2022 – Thursday, June 9, 12:00 Noon
We are proud to honour the nine members of our 27th TLA Graduating Class! Parents, guests, and families of the graduates, TLA grade 2 – 11 students, staff, other TLA parents, will join in celebration of this highlight of the academic year at Evergreen Cultural Centre at 1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC, V3B 7Y3. Students will travel by school bus to the centre, leaving school starting at 10:00 AM, and they will be dismissed from the Theatre at 1:30 PM. The ceremony runs from 12:00 Noon, until 1:30 PM. Grades 10 students will join the graduates for the reception following; students in grades 2 – 9 will enjoy refreshments outside at the front of the theatre. Parents and drivers must collect their grade 2 – 7 students from their home room teachers outside the front door of the theatre at 1:30 PM. High school students will be dismissed directly following the ceremony to make their own way home. Kindergarten and Grade One students may be picked up from TLA at the regular time, or beforehand by advising the office and teacher.

A Friendly Springtime Reminder . . .
The TLA Uniform code is in effect until the end of the school year.
Here are some items to note:
- Students wear dress shirts with long or short sleeves. Tennis, polo, or golf shirts are not permitted. Girls in Kindergarten through Grade Three wear blouses with Mary Jane collars
- School shoes must be worn to and from school; running shoes of any colour are not permitted.
- Sweaters must be brought to school, even though during the warmer weather students may be given permission to remove them.
- Ties must be worn, except for girls in Grades K – 3 who wear crossover ties.
- Students are reminded that school shoes must be worn to and from school.
- When a student is unable to wear the uniform for some reason out of their control, they must bring a note for their home room teacher from their parent or medical professional explaining the reason for the exception, and the date when it will be rectified.
- Kilts and tunics are knee-length. They must touch the floor when the student is kneeling.
- Boys’ socks must be navy blue, dark grey or black; girls may wear navy blue ankle socks, knee socks, or leotards.
- Field trip notices will give guidelines for alternate clothing appropriate to the event.
We thank all parents and families for ensuring that our students meet the expected standard for uniform wear.
