High School exam week options: Mar. 15 , 2020

Principal’s notice on upcoming high school exams: March 15, 2020

Parents may choose one of three options for their children’s high school exams for Term Two, assuming that there is no official school closure precipitated by the Medical Health Officer at Fraser Health, the Federation of Independent Schools Associations, the Ministry of Education, etc.

EX1 Students will attend school as normal until the spring break, following the intended exam schedule.   They will attend their normal classes in the afternoons where teachers will either continue with course materials or assist students in the study for the remaining exams.  These will not be simply self directed study blocks, but active classes.  Materials from the classes may be recorded in some way to send home to students being self-isolated.

EX2 Students are those whose parents are quasi self-isolating and who will send students to school for the exams only, and then pick them up from the campus immediately following the examination sessions, and who will not return to school until following the school Spring and Easter break.

EX3 Students are those whose parents are completely self-isolating, and will not come to school during the regular exam schedule at all, or at any time during the school days leading up to the spring break.  These students will have the opportunity to take their high school exams on the six school days following the holidays, beginning at 3:15 PM on those days.

I thank all parents for their words of encouragement regarding this complex situation; your input and understanding are much appreciated.  Please stay tuned to the school website and to the email messages to keep up to date with the latest announcements.

St. Edmund the Martyr, Pray for us.

Martin Dale
Principal
