SCHOOL CANCELLATION DUE TO SNOW PROCEDURE
Snow Closure Procedure
The weather forecast indicates that we may expect significant snowfall in the next few days. Should it be apparent that local driving conditions are too hazardous to permit students and staff to travel safely to school, on Friday and/or Monday morning, a school closure will be announced after 7:00 AM on the school answering machine. A notice will be sent via email from our website to all those who have signed up to receive notifications in that way.
If there is no school closure announced, school will take place as usual.
Please do not call the school prior to 7:00 AM as the line must be kept clear in order to place the appropriate message on the school’s machine.
GROUSE SNOW PROGRAM NEWS
Our first day of the 2018 TLA/Grouse Mountain Snow Program was a tremendous success. All parents who received passes for the mountain are asked to return these to the office immediately as they are required for upcoming lessons. Several lift and parking passes are available for parents to join us on the slopes as supervisors, please see the office before Friday if you would like to assist us in this way, and we will have passes available at the mountain base for you to pick up on the day.
The mountain has asked us to remind accompanying parents that if they wish to join students on the slopes during non-lesson times, they must be wearing skis or snow boards. Hikers are not permitted on the ski runs at any time and will be escorted off the hill by the Ski Patrol.
CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPTS AVAILABLE IN TLA OFFICE
2016/2017 Tax receipts will be available in the TLA office tomorrow, Friday, February 23; any receipts which remain in the office by Wednesday, February 28, will be sent home with students.
