Birthright Mass; Rosary Rally; Elementary Sports Day; Pub fundraiser

Birthright Mass: Saturday,May 18, at 11:40 AM

The annual Mass offered for the work of the Birthright organization, will take place beginning with the Rosary at 11:40 AM, then the Crowning of Our Lady, and finally Mass beginning at 12:10 PM at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 646 Richards St, Vancouver, BC V6B 3A3. Mass will be followed by a reception at Holy Rosary Hall.

  • Primary students who have made their First Holy Communion and who were in our school Crowning of Our Lady, may join this May Crowning accompanied by their families and dressed in their First Holy Communion attire.

  • All TLA students are encouraged to join the TLA choir for the event – please confirm your intent to participate with Mrs. Akhurst.

  • All students and their families are encouraged to attend the reception immediately following Mass in Holy Rosary Hall. (Donations of finger food are greatly appreciated!)

ELEMENTARY SPORTS DAY

&

HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY TOURNAMENT:

Friday, May 17

Our Elementary Sports day is scheduled for this coming Friday, May 17, from 8:45 AM – 12:00 Noon. Students will participate in a wide variety of events in the school grounds, and then be dismissed from the school at 12:00.

High school students will have a modified schedule of 5 periods that day, ending at 12:00 Noon when they will have lunch. They will then proceed to the Hockey Tournament– Which is a part of their PE/Daily Physical Activity requirement.

All students K – 12, will be divided into their house teams and will wear PE strip for the day. Hats or head bands in house colours may be worn to identify students in their house teams. (Militants – Green, Crusaders – Red, Defenders – BlueOTHER TEAM – OTHER COLOUR).

A concession stand for both events will be available for student snacks.

Dogs at School

To ensure the safety of our students, families who bring dogs to the school in morning or afternoon drop-off and pick-up times are asked to keep them on leash. Thank you for your consideration in this matter!

Compass Tickets

Complimentary one-day transit passes have been distributed to our graduating students for use between May 15 – June 30.

Students in Kindergarten through grade twelve ride the bus for free on October 7 – 11, 2019, to encourage transit use, and leave the car at home!.

Victoria Day Holiday – School Not In Session

We look forward to a great Sports Day & Hockey Tournament as a beginning to our long weekend. We wish everyone a happy Victoria Day. School will recommence on Tuesday, May 21.
