RCMP Community Policing Visit

Our local RCMP will be monitoring the streets surrounding the school in the coming weeks to ensure that speed limits are observed, student drop-off is in appropriate locations, pedestrians are crossing the streets at the appropriate areas (Jaywalkers beware!), and other safety oriented bylaws are being observed. We count on our parents to be committed to the safety of our students and neighbours during the busy times of pick up and drop off.

COVID–19 Protocols

We are working to ensure the safety of all students under the direction of our school health and safety plan, by limiting access to the school by parents and visitors, and the implementation of new procedures when it comes to student groupings and movements about the school. This is something that we are continuing to improve, and are truly appreciative of all parents and families as you help us in this way. Student drop off has now been modified to allow drivers to drop off their students and allow them to proceed into the school grounds unaccompanied in the mornings, where they are met by their teachers at the back of the school. Afternoon dismissal is still in accordance with guidelines for physical distancing and cohort compliance, but is being modified as the needs arise. Teachers are meeting often to discuss various aspects of the new regulations regarding mask-wearing times, supervision of student movement, and the physical distancing requirements.

TLA House Teams Compete!

As inter-school competitions of all sorts have been suspended during the beginning of this school year, we have set up a series of in-house, cohort-compliant, team games during lunch times three days a week. Our post game practice period ended as a window became cracked by an errant volleyball – heralding a change in location to the upper field for future games!

Privacy Concern

An individual was observed videotaping our before-school prayers and line up activities from the cul-de-sac Monday morning before school. As students are technically in our care during this time, such video recordings are inappropriate due to privacy concerns. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
