VICTORIA MARCH FOR LIFE – THURSDAY, MAY 12

Our annual field trip to Victoria, to the BC Legislature to join the thousands – strong Western Canada
March For Life will take place Thursday, May 12. As a school fully committed to the cause of life, we
welcome the opportunity for all of our high school students to participate. The school bus will depart
TLA at 7:00 AM, SHARP, to catch the 9:00 AM ferry at Tsawwassen. We return to TLA at 7:45 PM.

BRING FLOWERS OF THE FAIREST! – MAY CROWNING

All family members are invited to attend our annual May Crowning at 1:15 in the afternoon, on
Thursday, May 12, in the school chapel. Students are reminded to bring flowers to present to Our Lady.

BIRTHRIGHT CHILDREN’S TOY COLLECTION

Grade one students are collecting useable, freshly cleaned children’s toys which they will be selling to
support the work of Birthright as it supports mothers-to-be who are in distress. Some of the proceeds
will support the Ecuadorian earthquake victims. Please bring contributions to the Grade One class.

BIRTHRIGHT MASS – SATURDAY, MAY 28

TLA students and families are invited to attend this annual Mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral, at the
corner of Richards and Dunsmuir. TLA has provided the choir for this event on a yearly basis.

TLA HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA CLUB PRESENTS . . .

ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, Thursday/Friday, June 2/3, at 7:00 PM, in the TLA Performing Arts Centre
(Locally known as the Activity Room . . .). Join our TLA community as we delight in this performance
directed by Mrs. Marion Nundal, and produced by Mrs. Elizabeth Goody and Mrs. Hilary Randall.
Tickets $10.00 each or $40.00 for families of five or more.

K OF C SPEECH ARTS FESTIVAL AWARDS NIGHT

Our annual speech arts festival awards night takes place tonight at 6:30 PM in the Activity Room.

Mrs. Yolanda Irving wishes to remind all families who have yet to send in their $10.00 contribution to
this year’s teacher appreciation luncheon. Contributions may be sent to the office in an envelope
addressed to Mrs. Irving.

FINAL WORK BEE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR – MAY 28

Please call the office no later than Friday, May 27, if you intend to come to the bee. A reminder to all,
that you must sign up for the bee, and no-shows will be deducted from the cheque store.

LOST TRENCH COAT! (REWARD)

One of our Speech Arts Adjudicators is missing her knee-length, taupe, trench coat, last seen in the
Grade 7 class, Room 307, before lunch on Thursday, April 21. Please contact the office with any
sightings or leads. A reward has been offered for its return.
