MINISTRY EXTERNAL EVALUATION TOMORROW/FRIDAY
We welcome the two external evaluators sent by the Ministry of Education Independent
Schools to TLA tomorrow and Friday. This six-year event is designed to ensure that we
are meeting the Ministry requirements regarding all aspects of our school. Evaluators
will be visiting classrooms and speaking with teachers throughout both days at TLA.
WALK-A-THON NEWS
Students have reached $33,500.00 in pledges and we are in the final stages of calculating the actual
money submitted. Once this is complete we will be holding our Draw for student prizes. Thank you to
everyone for their commitment to this year’s major fund raising activity.
ALL HALLOW’S EVE SAINT PRESENTATIONS – MONDAY
Parents are invited to attend the two presentations at TLA on Monday, October 31, in the school chapel.
Grades 4 – 7 presentations will take place at 9:15 AM
Students in these grades will arrive at school already dressed in their costumes, and will change into
their school clothes following their presentations.
Grades K – 3 presentations will take place at 1:15 PM and will change into their costumes during the
lunch time.
GARDENS OF GETHSEMANI ALL SOULS DEVOTION
Permission slips will be sent home today for this annual all-school devotion. Parents and younger
siblings are encouraged to attend, and may offer to assist with driving for the day.
TAKE YOUR KID TO WORK DAY:WED., NOV. 2, 2016
Grade Nine Students will not be in attendance at TLA on Wednesday so that they can accompany one
of their parents to work for the day. We look forward to hearing good things regarding future careers
when the students return on the 3rd!
MASS FOR MOIRA GARNEAU NOVEMBER 4, 2016 10:30
All students will be attending Mass offered for the soul of Moira Garneau, TLA foundress, who died
twelve years ago, this November 5. Parents, families, alumni, and friends of TLA are all invited to
attend this annual memorial Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Laval Square.
FRONT DOOR USE
Parents and students are reminded that the front door of the school is limited to adults only use, and
also to grade 11 & 12 students. Please respect this school rule, during the hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM,
unless the student is late and must report to the office for a late slip.
