TLA Christmas Concert December 20

Our annual TLA Christmas Concert will take place on Thursday, December 20, at 7:00 PM (Doors open at 6:30 PM) at the Mary Pattison Chapel at Pacific Academy, 10238 168th Street, V4N 1Z4, Surrey. (Watch for signs indicating where you are to park.)

Gourmet Basket Raffle Items & Tickets

Please ensure that your gourmet and specialty items are submitted to the office immediately so that we can have the baskets assembled in all their finery! Tickets and stubs need to be returned to the office by Wednesday, December19. The sale of raffle tickets for the Gourmet Basket Raffle pays for the rental of the location for our school concert, so all families are encouraged to support this fund raiser.

Purdy’s Chocolate Christmas Fund raiser

Your Purdy’s chocolate orders have arrived! Thank you for your participation in this fund raiser, which raised well over a thousand dollars due to your generous chocolate purchases. Orders may be picked up at the office.

Term One Report Cards Issued Today

Report cards should be delivered unopened to parents today. Receipt of Report forms should be returned to the school tomorrow. Anyone desiring to meet with teachers should contact the office to arrange a time.

Pro Life Month at TLA

November 12 – December 12 has been Pro Life month at TLA where students in K – 12 participate in various activities dedicated to an increased respect for human life, from conception to its natural end. Class activities by grade include: Baby Bottles Collection to support Coquitlam’s Pregnancy Concerns: Grades 3 6 7, Pro Life Christmas Cards are being sold by Grades 2, 4, 7, & 10 (Please see the office if you wish to purchase cards.) is Open: Grades 10 – 12 will be feeding the hungry at The Door is Open in Vancouver’s East Side in January, Food bank collections are taking place in Grades K, 2, 5 & 6, Baby Clothes are being collected for Birthright to support single mothers by Grade 1 students, Gr. 9 students are collecting items to be given to the homeless through the Door is Open. Natalie Hudson Sonnen, of Life Canada, will be speaking to high school students in the new year about the latest life issues in Canada.

TLA Before School Care 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Families wishing to enroll their elementary aged sons and daughters may contact Mrs. Lottie Gamester at 778-227-4335.

TLA Bottle Drive, Thursday, December 13

The final TLA bottle drive of 2018 will take place Thursday, December 13, at 8:45 AM. Students bringing in returnables pease fill in the name blank below and return this portion of the newsletter to be submitted with their contributions. Extra Tickets may be obtained from the office.

Every student bringing a bag of returnable bottles, cans, juice boxes, etc., is eligible for a prize draw! (Return this notice with the student name written in for the draw.)
