TRAFFIC AND PARKING VIOLATIONS
School staff and our neighbours have observed an increasing number of traffic and safety issues at both entrances of the school in recent weeks. These include blocking driveways of our school and of our neighbours’ homes, and drop off of students in those spots, speeding through the school zone, illegal U-turns on Rochester Avenue, parking in the intersection, turning in the school’s and neighbours’ driveways, parking in no-parking zones, leaving vehicles untended in the drop off zones, and picking up and dropping off students in the staff parking lot between the hours of 8:00 AM & 4:00 PM. These violations of the law and of concern for safety pose a significant threat to our school community. Drivers are urged to allow themselves ample time to park safely when dropping off students in these busy times of day, and to observe the traffic laws at all times.
To help us in the effort to keep things safe and orderly, Coquitlam bylaw officers will be awarding violation tickets to those who do not comply.

School will not be in session this coming Monday; we look forward to the return of students to class on Tuesday, January 25.
