TLA Signs 25 Year Lease!

After four years of intense discussion and planning, TLA is delighted to report that we have signed a 25 year lease of the current school property. A huge vote of thanks to our Traditional Learning Society of BC’s Board of Directors, especially those on the Building Committee, for their tireless work in this area, to Archbishop J. Michael Miller and his leadership team for approving this lifeline to our school, and to all of you who have prayed for this intention for these past few years. A meeting will be held in the early Fall at TLA to inform parents of the way ahead in the matter of the seismic upgrade as well as the lease. Work will begin at the start of the summer holidays to replace our ageing windows, and the main work will begin during the coming school year.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His mercy endures forever.

Awards Day Ceremony

Our end-of-year High Mass and Awards Day Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 28th commencing at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Laval Square, directly south of the school. Students will be dropped off at the church in time for Mass, which parents and family are most welcome to attend.

After Mass, students will proceed in class groups to the school campus for the awards ceremony to be held in the school grounds. Again, families are welcome to join us for this last official school event. The weather is forecast to be fine for the event, so students may wish to wear sunscreen and hats. Report cards will be distributed following the ceremony, after classes have cleared away their chairs from the school grounds. Following the ceremony, at around 12:30 PM, chairs will be put away, and students will be given their report cards before being dismissed for the summer. Any uncollected report cards will be available for pick-up at the school office which will be open for administrative business from July 3rd – 7th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Report cards remaining at the school after July 7th, will be mailed home.
