RAISING CHILDREN IN AN ONLINE WORLD
TLA is pleased to invite Sister John Mary Sullivan, the Archdiocese of Vancouver’s Life Marriage and Family Program Specialist, to give a special evening presentation about raising children in an online world.
TLA strives to provide a safe learning environment for all students free from age inappropriate content or discussions. Parents’ and teachers’ best efforts in the classroom and home to raise children in virtue must often contend with online content and social media influences. As we continue professional development for teachers in this area, we also want parents to feel equipped and emboldened to lead in the home. Together we can make a very important difference in the lives of TLA students.
This opportunity will be valuable to parents of students in all grades, from kindergarten through high school, whether or not these children have access to the internet and social media, as students with such access are quick to discuss these matters in the schoolyard indiscriminately with their peers.
We ask all parents to mark off their calendars now and plan to attend the talk on either Thursday, June 15th at 7PM, or on Monday, June 19th at 7PM. Both events will take place in the Activity Room at TLA.
Please respond to this invitation by letting your sons and daughters home room teachers (one per family) to let us know which evening presentation you wish to attend.
