Dear TLA Parents,

Welcome back, everyone; how good it is to see our students old and new return to school this week.

Pick Up & Drop Off Reminders

As announced in our recent email notice, students may arrive on the school grounds between 8:30 & the 8:45 bell, unless they are attending the before school program. Now more than ever it is important that students arrive before the bell rings, so that they may enter the school in the normal way, rather than coming through the office for late slips when they arrive after the bell.

We are working towards having all students enter the line-up area unaccompanied, to help us with our physical distancing. We look forward to updating these restrictions, but for the time being, we rely on our families to accommodate us in these health-inspired modifications to the school routine.

At the end of the day, parents must pick students up at 3:00 PM dismissal. We will continue having teachers accompany their classes out into to the school yard at 3:00 PM to supervise their pick up by parents at that time. We ask everyone to cooperate to ensure that this takes place in an orderly and prompt manner. Children are not permitted to play after school in the playground, even if they are supervised by a parent or guardian. Although our playground is open to the public outside of school times, it is important that people don’t congregate here after school, as it will be too challenging to ensure that students stay in their cohorts. If you want to bring your children back to our school grounds and supervise their play after 4:00 PM, you are certainly welcome to do so.

Parents and guardians who need to come to the school office for whatever reason are welcome to enter by the front doors, and make use of the hand-sanitizer provided.

The school parking lot and driveway are reserved for the exclusive use of TLA staff. There is no pick up and drop off of students in these areas. Please help us in this important effort to keep our students safe.

The Drop Off/Pick Up zone in front of the school can only be used as per the instructions on the signs. Drivers must remain in their cars for no more than 2 minutes while students unload. If you need to wait longer than that, please park on the street where space is available.

The Covid-19 situation has delayed the publishing of our TLA 2020/2021Calendar;
we hope to have a basic list of confirmed dates distributed to families in the coming week.

Please Note there is no Back-to-School Barbecue scheduled at this time.
