TLA ANNUAL DINNER DANCE

Join the school community at All Saints Parish Hall for this highlight of the social season at TLA! Please
contact the office for details. We are collecting items for our auction on the night!

SNOW CLOSURES AT TLA

The weather forecast indicates that we may expect significant snow on the weekend. Should it be the
case that it remains a problem by Monday morning, a school closure will be announced after 7:00 AM
on the school answering machine, and on our TLA website, www.traditionallearning.com.
If there is no school closure announced, school will take place as usual.
Please do not call the school prior to 7:00 AM as the line must be kept clear in
order to place the appropriate message on the school’s machine.

CALIFORNIA TRIP GRADES 10 – 12

TLA is pleased to offer a trip to California to the senior students and their parents during the latter part
of the Easter break, returning home on the first day back at school after the holiday. Participants will
have the opportunity to experience life and classes at Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, and to
visit several of the local historical and cultural attractions of Southern California. Excursions may
include hikes in the local parks, a visit to Santa Barbara California Mission, town and beach, explore the
the J. Paul Getty Roman Villa at Malibu, visit Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios
and other sites, depending on the interests of the students as well as the time and funds available. We
are at the stage of discerning student interest in the trip – More news to follow.

SNOW PROGRAM AT GROUSE MOUNTAIN FEB/MARCH

TLA is once again pleased to offer students in grades five through twelve a program of four skiing or
snow boarding lessons on Grouse Mountain, the Peak of Vancouver, on the evenings of February 10,
24, March 3, & 31. Grouse Mountain’s snow programs appeal to students of all levels and abilities. An
emphasis will be on developing skills and good sportsmanship in an enjoyable and playful winter
environment. Led by certified instructors during lesson time, students will be supervised in a safe and
encouraging atmosphere. To allow a very low cost for our students, we require teacher & parent
assistance in transporting students to the mountain. These parents will be provided with lift or Gondola
passes, as well as parking vouchers to reward them for their assistance with the program.
We encourage all students in these grades to take part in this popular annual program on Grouse
Mountain.

CAMBRIDGE UNIFORMS – GST Sale

Our uniform company is delighted to offer a “Save-The-GST” sale, to all TLA families during the week of
February 6 – 14. Take this opportunity to save money on uniform purchases!
